Title: HAH!propoganda is in my school history book!

a few days ago on a particularly boring school day i found myself so bored that i resorted to flipping through the pages of my history book in said class. lookinmg through i stopped and read a tiny biography for Phil Gramm, who is i guess what you could call a famous texan.
It said that he lectured at Texas A&M university(aggies rule!), used to be a democrat but switched parties, and is a strong supporter of presidents like reagan and the bushes(so in otherwords he's a right wing prick). the bio also said that he served in the house of representatives more than once, and later the senate as a republican. thats about waht it said.
now anyone who goes to school probably has textbooks that ask questions about a passage or article at the end of them. After Gramm's short bio, it asked this: How has Phil Gramm's experience helped him to be an effective leader in the senate?
this passage gives no real answer to the question at all. the flimsy bio doesn't go into any details whatsoever. it doesnt say anything about what he did, what he passed, what legislation he voted on while he was in office. how would anyone even know from reading this biography that he even WAS an effective leader in the senate? Also, I notice that the question referred only to Gramm when he was in the senate, completely forgetting about his 3 terms in the house of representatives as a DEMOCRAT. thats certainly some coincidence to me.
I'm sure if i look up gramm's terms in office from a couple of sources i'll probably find out that phil was probably in fact a crappy senator and representative. of course neocons like to lie, thus the reason why they couldn't find anything to say about what he Mr.Gramm actually DID in office.
I think this here is evidence of some rightwing bias in my school's own books. what does it look like to you?
