Title: heh,american idol is racist!
cohete garza - January 4, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
If you haven't heard of the show american idol, you've probably had your head in your ass(or northern england, no offense) since 2002 or something. for all the people here not from the US who don't know, american idol is a real popular show where they audition a million people to sing and they get judged on their performances. the people vote and eventually an episode will come where only 1 person is left, and then they're supposed to get famous and make lots of money and stuff.
yes, i am going somewhere with this. there have been 4 seasons and 4 winners on american idol, 2 of them hot white girls(kelly clarkson and carrie underwood), the other 2 are both black, one is a kinda ugly girl named Fantasia and the other is big fat ruben studdard. I think every american person here who goes to school has probably heard kelly clarkson's songs a billion times by now, and if you're into country music you've probably heard carrie underwood singing about the usual country stuff.
both of these hot white chicks are doing pretty well for themselves since being on american idol, so i wanna know one thing: WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO RUBEN AND FANTASIA!?! DID THEY GO JOIN A MONASTERY IN NORTH DAKOTA OR SOMETHING AND FORGET TO TELL SOMEONE ABOUT IT? or maybe, america just doesnt like black musicians who don't do hip hop(or should i say HIP-POP).
now, some people like my mom think it has nothing to do with their race. they make the good point that fantasia simply isnt near as hot as beyonce, and ruben is really fat. well, notorious BIG was a fat bastard, and he was pimped out. the mommas and the papas were a real popular band back in the weed smoking days of the 60's, even though they had a whale sized girl in the group. thing is, she was a great singer despite her pot belly, and lets not forget, everyone in the mommas and the papas was WHITE.
considering all that, doesn't anyone else think its weird that two white american idol winners are on the pop charts and two equally talented african american winners aren't on the spotlight, or even on backstage?

Before you start yelling Racist like a Jackass. Think about this. Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson sing and make music that makes people move. Something more popular. With Fantasia and Ruben, they sing R&B. Which isnt that popular. And they only get played on R&B specific stations.
Think man. ;)

YOU FUCKING IDIOT. THEY'RE NOT RACIST, AND NO THE WHITES AREN'T ON THE TOP CHARTS, DON'T EVEN GET ME SARTED. NOBODY LISTENS TO CLAY AIKEN OR KELLY CLARSCKSON AS WELL AS FANATSIA OR RUBEN. IT'S JUST THAT AMERICAN IDOL DOESN'T GET YOU ANYWERE, AND JUST BEACUSE YOU'RE THE "IDOL" OF THE COUNTRY DOESN'T MEAN YOU'RE THE BEST SINGER OF THE COUNTRY. I MEAN WHAT EVEN GAVE YOU THE FUCKING IDEA OF THINKING THAT AMERICAN IDOL IS RACIST, THINK LOGICALLY. 2 BLACK WINNERS 2 WHITE WINNERS, I THINK THAT'S FAIR.
KITT - January 5, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
And why do you care man? Your mexican not black.
Mini-Me - January 5, 2006 12:19 AM (GMT)
True say, KITT. The whole thing is rigged anyways. The voting can probably be changed by the director of the show at any time. It's all in the fine print. This is an example of fine print.
Gaylord Perry - January 5, 2006 12:23 AM (GMT)
And just beacuse you're voted the american idol, it doesn't mean that you're the idol, it just means that you won a competition that nobody cares about.
Mini-Me - January 5, 2006 12:26 AM (GMT)
A fair amount of people care about it. Other shows had to move to different times and/or days because they were getting their asses kicked by it.
Gaylord Perry - January 5, 2006 12:28 AM (GMT)
Meh <_<
American Idol is nothing, all the finalists suck, every single one, lemme make a list.
Kelly Clarkson is a whiny bitch.
Ruben Studdard is the disgrace of black rappers.
Fanatsia is a Tina turner rip off.
Clay Aiken sings as if his balls are being squeezed.
Who else is there?

Well I'm in East England, and I've heard of it. It started off as Pop Idol in some country (maybe the UK, who cares?) I reckon people in Northern England will have heard about it ;).
Australian Prick - January 5, 2006 09:58 AM (GMT)
Whats bad about North England? chix with dix? :o
pumpkin head - January 5, 2006 09:59 AM (GMT)
Nothing's wrong with it, its actually quite a relaxed place, except Newcastle, where you get your head kicked in if you go down the wrong street!
Australian Prick - January 5, 2006 10:04 AM (GMT)
Is that the st james park street?
pumpkin head - January 5, 2006 10:06 AM (GMT)
That street depends on what shirt you're wearing.
Australian Prick - January 5, 2006 10:08 AM (GMT)
So if i go up there with an arsenal shirt 14 henry will i be headless and if wear 9 shearer i'll be a hero?
pumpkin head - January 5, 2006 10:09 AM (GMT)
Australian Prick - January 5, 2006 10:10 AM (GMT)
Ask for the vertical smile and they said yes ay?
pumpkin head - January 5, 2006 10:20 AM (GMT)
Aye lad.
Anyway, I'm sure American Idol wasn't rascist, although they may have been trying to appeal to a certain demographic of TV viewer. . . which might be perceived as the same thing.
Jesta - January 5, 2006 11:36 AM (GMT)
Im an Australian i forget what carrie underwood looks like, somebody post a pic, anyway we have Idol down here, and i fucking hate it,its the biggest waste of time ever i want to kill the guy who came up with it.
Although an Idol for actual bands would kick ass,in theory.....
pumpkin head - January 5, 2006 11:38 AM (GMT)
Yeah but you'd only get crappy 'middle of the road' bands playing diluted punk, emo, rock and metal so that it would be acceptable.

You are truly a stupid peice of shit. You would know if you actually were down in the US that Kelly Clarkson had the most played song in the whole fucking country. Didn't know that did you polish boy? It's a confirmed fact from the radio that this is true. I don't think you have the right to talk like you know more about what goes on in America when you don't even fucking live here. Just because you can type and speak our language(Which you probably learned in a comfy private school) doesn't make you the purveyor of American truth. Of course nobody listens to Clay Aiken because he's a gay and the US is still pretty homophobic. And by the way, don't type in all caps, it makes you look like an idiot.

Man you just made yourself look like an ass.
Dj, is from chicago.
cohete garza - January 5, 2006 11:43 PM (GMT)
bullshit that fucker said he was polish from poland. either way he still obviusly doesnt know who had the number1 most played song in the country in 2005
Kingturtle2007 - January 6, 2006 12:28 AM (GMT)
I don't agree with this, I think that the reason why they are not that popular is because of the type of music they make.
Sure they can sing good, but that's just half of what really makes you a good artist, you also have to be good at making songs. :ph43r: :ph43r:

Ok so what if it was the most played song of 2005? It's based on the votes and demand for the song to be played. Not by fucking race. People judge music by what they like.

what song?
sorry for asking, but i cant be bothered reading all that shit he wrote
KITT - January 6, 2006 12:54 AM (GMT)
He never said what song. He just said Kelly Clarkson had the number one most played songs in the country for 2005.
Kingturtle2007 - January 6, 2006 12:56 AM (GMT)
Does it matter what song it is?
I mean it just that the people liked it and they voted for it.
Unless you want to know the song so you can get the song. :ph43r: :ph43r:
KITT - January 6, 2006 12:56 AM (GMT)
With the name of the song, we can determine why was number one.
Kingturtle2007 - January 6, 2006 01:01 AM (GMT)
So? What if you like a certain taste? You can't just say that this song is number one just because I like it. Some people might not like it. :ph43r: :ph43r:

LOL!
Kingturtle2007 - January 6, 2006 01:05 AM (GMT)
All right then, but it would be popular to people who listen to country, not to people who listen to everything. :ph43r: :ph43r:
KITT - January 6, 2006 01:07 AM (GMT)
Shes does not sing country.
